Math 311: Calculus III

Welcome to the course home page for Math 311, Calculus III, with Prof. Patricia Hersh. Class meets MTuWed (lecture), Th (recitation), 11:15am-12:05pm in Kirkwood 212. We have the classroom reserved all five days of the week, so this should also provide a nice place where students can meet and work together on homework during the Friday time slot.

Classroom building under repair: when you get to Kirkwood to come to class, you may see all sorts of daunting fences around the building, because the roof of the building is being fixed right now. Just walk around the building until you find an entrance that is open -- the inside of the building is open, and I've been assured that we'll be able to have class there without any problem.

Textbook: "Multivariable Calculus" (sixth edition), by James Stewart.

Special final exam office hours: Saturday 3-4pm, and Monday 4-5pm, both in Rawles 317. We also have our usual office hours this week on Wednesday 4-5pm.

Professor office hours: Mondays 9-10am (Rawles 317) and Wednesdays 4-5pm (Rawles 317)

AI Office hours: Fridays 11:15am-12:05pm (Kirkwood 212) and Fridays 2:50-3:50pm (Swain East 301)

Exam dates: 1st Hourly Exam: Monday, October 8th, in lecture; 2nd Hourly Exam: Thursday, November 8th, in lecture; Final Exam: Tuesday, Dec. 11th, 2:45-4:45pm, in our usual classroom. Warning: There are no make-up hourly or final exams, so please make sure now that you will not have a conflict with any of these exam dates/times!
